High Holy Days Amsterdam

At the piano, I accompanied chazan Gilad Nezer and the synagogal choir led by Marcela Obermeister.  Rosh ha Shah (Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Liberal Jewish Synagogue Amsterdam. October 2024. All music for these massive services are written out by me using the Sibelius music notation program. Ten hours in one day of piano playing! The music is built from composer Lewandowski, traditionals and nussach (reciting). 

Laureate WBMC 

The suite for five bells with the 'Bagatelle' as eyecatcher was awarded the third prize in the WBMC competition.  (September 17, 2024) 

Finalist WBMC

Composition ''Bagatelle'' for five bells reached the finals of the World Best Musicians Competition. This piece was premiered and recorded in Italy by bell player Mattia Malzani. This composition evoked a child to dance on the music in the bell tower spontaneously. A recording could be found on YouTube. 

The Asia Carillon Book

Compositions and arrangements for carillon with music from China, Japan, Korea, India, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey and Israel. Premiered in August 2024 on the carillon of the Cathedral Jean Baptiste in Perpignan (South of France). The book will form the basis of the Nieuwegeinse Beiaardboek part 7, to be published in September 2024. 

The Italian Book of Bells

Compositions for small range carillons by Mathieu Daniel Polak and Mattia Malzani. Many performances in Italian and Dutch cities. Book published June 2024. 

The Hannover Seminar 

In August 2024 I gave masterclasses and lectures about carillon subjects in Hannover (Germany). Together with Christian Michel, I played arrangements of compositions by the last king of Hannover and  my own four hands pieces ''Shtetl'' and ''Under the Chuppah'' on the carillon of the Henrietten Stift. Student concerts included music from The Italian Book of Bells.  

Quintet no. 1
